Group Policy : Enable Remote Desktop Services


Step 1
Create a New Group Policy Object. Name it "Remote Desktop Settings".
Navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Template -> Network -> Network Connections -> Windows Firewall -> Domain Profile.
Select Windows Firewall: Allow remote administration exception
Enable the policy. 

Step 2
Navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Policies -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Connections
Allow users to connect remotely by using Remote Desktop Services
Enable the policy.

Step 3
Run gpupdate /force on the workstation to update the policy. To verify that the policy has been applied run gpresult /r as administrator at the command line.
